Wonderful place, historical museum. Lots of big trains roll by on Norfolk Southern main line. Beautiful grounds with picnic tables, pavilion and gazebo

Only a "flag stop" for the Amtrak Pennsylvanian. But has a nice bus stop shelter to wait in. Or spend some time in the Tyrone Historic Railroad Park located right across the road. There's several picnic tables, a gazebo, a memorial bridge to view the town & Little Juniata River and a couple of old railroad cars for photo ops. No restrooms though.

It's quite literally a bus stop shelter next to the train track. The train station building next to it is actually a museum and never seems to be open.

Never had to wait more than 15 minutes.
Take it frequently to NYC.. to visit my son and family, on Long Island. Laid back atmosphere, of course that’s what Tyrone is!
I choose this over Altoona because of location I can walk easily to it.Also, no checked luggage!

Unfortunately there isn’t much to say; this is a glorified bus stop. Not even a nice one at that, there’s graffiti inside. Hopefully it’s not crowded and you will have a place to stay dry. If all else fails, there is a pay phone next to the shelter. You can call the person that was supposed to be there to pick you up. If they don’t answer you can walk over to the history museum that everyone thinks is the station.
