This is a very nice and convenient train station when visiting Wilmington and the surrounding areas.
As soon as you walk in, the staff are helpful and friendly. And the announcements for the trains are loud and clear. The station is also very nice with good amenities and overall is a great station

Ухоженный и чистый вокзал. Туалеты всегда чистые, есть магазинчик с горячим кофе, закусками, журналами, сувенирами и самым необходимым. Здесь можно даже купить дезодорант и таблетки от головной боли, это очень удобно. Недавно завершился ремонт двух новых эскалаторов. Хорошее тихое место.

Beautiful city area and very clean near the train station. Clean and mostly quiet from what we've seen. Reminds you of Columbia, MD. Will come back and stay for a few days just to tour the city life.

Amtrak Awesome experience ?
Easy scheduling, easy check-in, assistance boarding, disabled friendly station,
a comfortable ride. but you need a throw blanket,
train freezing cold if on board for a while. Friendly train staff, bathrooms in each car, and headphones for mobile devices are required.
Food available for purchase and drinks.
Relax and leave the driving to Amtrak ?

Hello travelers ☕️
I departed the Wilmington DE
train station . Check in was nice and easy. There is seating inside while waiting for your train. Customer service was very friendly. Checking bags was easy. Platformis disabled friendly.
I enjoyed my train ride to Florence South Carolina
Despite the ice cold train. Staff were friendly.
I would like for amtrak to start a food cart that offers food or someone who can come around and take order for disables riders. I wasn't able to retrieve food. because of my knees and I didn't want to fall while the train was moving. I had to entrust a stranger to retrieve me some food.

Fails to update the status app when train times are changed. You will find the updated train time when you are presently at the station. When you are on the train 5-10 minutes close to your destination the train stops and just sits there causing me several times to miss my Uber/lyft ride.

The train station is in a Neo Romanesque style, with an emphasis on gravitas and evoking the majesty of a bygone era, using a lot of somber, heavy arches and stately towers. The red tinge of the stone mean that this place glows like it's on fire at sunrise or sunset, producing an otherworldly, enchanting effect. Inside, it is a rather mundane station, not disappointing considering the size of the city, but not anything beyond what you would expect of a city of this size. In the last decade or so, it was renamed for Joe Biden, as he is from Delaware and is an ardent train aficionado. I wish they still constructed train stations that had exteriors like this, stations that did not seem merely utilitarian or anonymous.

Charlie at the Wilmington, De station was exceptional helpful. From the time I was inquiring about the train ride. He gave me info which car to book to bring my elderly mom down to Orlando. He was there on the day we left. So sorry he was not around when the officer ?‍♂️ took the picture. We are having a pleasant trip. Love ❤️ the staff on and off the train. Jackie in the cafe part if also a ?. I’ll be back Amtrak.
